Are you looking for an enriching experience for your child that will build confidence, communication, creativity, and instill a passion for the performing arts? Join us for a River Tree Arts production of “The Wizard of Oz”! Led by Shelby Trondle, who was the lead role in several musical and play productions, traveled with an honors ensemble & choir for several years and who has been teaching public speaking and improv classes as well as directing theater productions for the past 5 years! If your child is interested but hesitant, there are options for non-speaking to smaller roles. If your child is interested and enthusiastic, we have medium to larger roles available. There are also opportunities to be part of the backstage crew, costume design team, and set/prop design team during Winter session 2. This is a great opportunity for students in our community to get involved in theater. The venue for the final production is yet to be determined but it will be at a community venue for all to enjoy!

Have your child practice both parts, focusing on their voice inflection and volume. They do not need to memorize any of the lines. NOTE: Students who want to participate in the play but are unable to attend the casting call are still encouraged to register. By attending the reading, Shelby will get an idea of each students capabilities so she can start thinking about roles.
