EXPLORATION OF PORTRAITURE

7 weeks (01/08-02/26)

Starting with the basics of drawing the human face, we will explore the vast possibilities of what a portrait can be. Beyond capturing physical appearance, a portrait can reveal the inner world of its subject. Each week the instructor will present and then facilitate a discussion on a different artist. This featured artist will provide inspiration for students to create portraits from observation or the imagination using a wide range of mediums. This is a fun and welcoming class for all levels, from the total beginner to the experienced artist!
