Outdoor Sketching (Adults)

Sketch local breathtaking scenes from ocean, to harbor and marshes! Students will meet at a scenic predetermined local location each week. Instructor Heather Lewis is a college art instructor and extremely talented artist. Classes will begin with an instructional talk from Heather, and then students will break off to sketch at their own pace. This is a great class for all levels of experience.

**All classes will take place outdoors. We will practice social distancing and masks should be worn if social distancing is not possible. Please bring your own mask and hand sanitizer. Please do not attend class if you are not feeling well, have someone at home diagnosed with COVID, or have been recently exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID.

Rain dates: In the event of rain, class will be rescheduled for October 29.

Materials Needed: medium sized watercolor pad, and sketch pad (9X12), set of watercolors, 2B pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener, paint brushes (assorted sizes), rags, container for water, set of dry pastels. We will go over the materials in the first class- sketchpad and pencil are fine to start.

Since we will be outdoors make sure you have something lightweight to carry gear. Knapsacks work great. Also, make sure to dress comfortably, have a sun hat, pack sun screen, bug repellent, drinking water and a snack! Please remember to bring a mask and hand sanitizer as well.
