November 3 - November 24, 2020 (4weeks)
Instructor: Piper Castles
This is an outdoor class.
Students will create earth art inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. This type of art is made in nature using natural materials (mandalas made of fall leaves or sculptures of stones on the beach). We will create artwork that is impermanent but students will photograph their projects to preserve them. Be sure and dress for cold (possibly messy) conditions. We will be outside the entire class.
Instructor Piper Castles is a talented local artist and a much-loved instructor at River Tree Arts. You can view her work on Instagram.
Members: $110 / Non-Members: $125
SAFETY: Safe protocols will be followed during the classes. Students are required to wear masks. The instructor may allow for mask removal at some points during the class if students can safely socially distance. Students are required to bring a mask, and a towel or blanket to sit on. Please view River Tree Arts Safe Re-Opening Guidelines here
LOCATION: This class will take place at Naragansett beach and Rogers Pond. Details will be emailed prior to class.
